Ed Driscoll begins Driscoll Foods, building the foundation for a family-owned company focused on service and growth
Our Company
We take pride in saying that Driscoll Foods is a family-owned and operated company. Granted, we’ve added a few more trucks since we began over 50 years ago.
Who We Are
Since starting as a family owned business in 1971, Driscoll Foods has grown to become one of the largest independent food service distributors in the Northeast. Tim Driscoll’s vision for the company and our pattern of growth have taken us through many moves; to Upstate NY, Stroudsburg PA, and most recently to a state of the art 507,000 square foot facility in Wayne, NJ. With 340,000 square feet of cooler and freezer space along with a refrigerated dock, our facility was built with our customers in mind.
Our modern fleet of over 200 multi-temperature trucks covers the Northeast region, delivering over 18,000 stocked products. Our extensive inventory includes fresh produce, meat, poultry, milk and dairy products, as well as frozen, grocery, beverage, equipment, paper and cleaning supplies. Combine all of that with over 1,000 dedicated employees and an experienced management team led by Tim Driscoll, we are well equipped to fulfill all of your food service needs.

In 1996, Tim Driscoll purchases the company from his father, and by 2000, continued growth leads to the opening of a new 28,000 sq. ft. facility in East Orange, New Jersey.
Driscoll Foods continues its expansion with the opening of a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in East Rutherford, New Jersey in 2004.

Driscoll Foods opens a second distribution center in Amsterdam, New York, expanding into Upstate New York and Western Massachusetts.
In 2017, the company opens its state-of-the-art Wayne, New Jersey headquarters featuring over 500,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and capacity for more than 25,000 items.
Growth continued in 2021 with the acquisition of Pocono ProFoods in Stroudsburg, PA.
Driscoll Foods launches The Fishery offering custom-cut fresh seafood from the Wayne facility.
Today, Driscoll Foods operates as one of the region’s leading independent foodservice distributors, continuing to grow through family leadership, trusted partnerships, and a commitment to exceptional service. Expansion efforts are already underway in Rhode Island and Southern New Jersey as the company continues extending its reach into the Northeast market and further south.
