Night Warehouse Selector, Amsterdam NY

Prior selecting/warehouse experience preferred. However, for the right candidate we will offer additional training opportunities.
Key Points:
This is a full time position. The work week is Sunday night-Thursday night.
This overnight position starts at 6pm and ends when the work is complete.
We select using batch method, voice selection software and labels. Our selectors are measured on productivity and accuracy.
All orders are selected using electric double pallet jacks. You must pass an equipment test and become certified in order to work as an overnight selector.
Job Requirements:
Perform all pre-shift duties including warm up and safety checks on all equipment.
Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned. Meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner.
Performs various post-shift duties that could include: Clearing aisles of all debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging. Stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle. Clean up any spills and places damaged product in recoup area. Completes any related paperwork.
Must be physically able to work in the freezer and in the cooler.
Must be able to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds throughout a shift.
Attend all required company meetings and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
Must satisfactorily complete all company mandated trainings and assessments.
Education/Training: High School Education or GED preferred.
Related Experience/Requirements: Minimum one-year recent experience in highly physical, labor intensive warehouse selection position. Minimum six months experience with warehouse material handling equipment (electric pallet jack or high low) preferred. Extensive experience operating Standup Forklifts required. Voice selection software experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots. Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.
Compensation:
Training: during your 2 week training period, hourly pay is $16.50/hour
Incentive: After training, all selectors are expected to meet standards to achieve incentive pay. the range of compensation is $17.50+
Retention bonus: We offer a retention bonus over the span of 1st year of employment (must meet attendance requirements and work safely).

JOB DESCRIPTION
A Class B CDL Driver will be responsible for delivering, stacking, and tracking products. In order to be considered for the position: candidate must have a VALID CLASS A or B COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Description of Essential Job Functions:
- Unload & load freight off/on trailers; lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally)
- Must be willing to deliver to both upstairs & downstairs locations
- Provide customers with exceptional service
- Thoroughly matching invoices to orders to prevent any shorts
- Safe operation of all company equipment
- Perform vehicle inspections required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations.
- Maintain a current Class A or B CDL
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Delivery Areas: NYC + boroughs, NJ, PA
- Home every night
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to operate 26' automatic straight truck
- Possess and maintain a valid Class A or B Commercial driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Safe driving record and history
- Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals
- Up to date Medical Certificate.
